From Design to Delivery – Here’s Why I Started Barndominium Pre-Fab

For over a decade, I worked as a contractor before starting Buckeye Plans, designing custom homes for builders and clients across the U.S. What started as drafting for a few turned into something much bigger — soon, we were creating house plans for clients in Canada, Italy, and even Australia. The Buckeye name spread fast, and now we’re one of the most recognized independent plan designers out there.

Every week, I get asked:
"Can you ship a kit to Canada or the UK?"
Not quite yet — but we can design for it 😉

So now, I’m building something new — something that combines all of my construction and design experience into one streamlined service:

It’s all under the Buckeye Plans Corporation, so it carries the same credibility and recognition we’ve worked hard to earn — and it’s allowing us to hit the ground running with very little advertising.

This isn’t just a side hustle — it’s a legacy business I’m building for the future, for my kids. Since December, we’ve been up and running in our new shop. We’ve got engineering partners, delivery crews, experienced builders across several states, and I’m currently onboarding our national sales director.
